While I'm sure both books have their faults, I easily overlooked them because these books were so much better then any other romance/chic lit books that I have read recently.Simchahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14730042073954228379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4812297326740243052.post-75908218122541837782009-12-10T08:26:55.095-08:002009-12-10T08:26:55.095-08:00I haven't read either but now I want to! It didn't have to be such a long bit that it got boggy, could have been quite brief. Wouldn't even have had to affect wordcount, if such a thought were slipped in in place of one of the many occasions when the protags wondered how they could get back together again.

And I guess I don't get referring to a struggle for independence would be more anachronistic than, say, a female surgeon at that time, or reference to the motivations for such a struggle that I see mentioned in historicals of other locations.M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07498466631016466048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4812297326740243052.post-59739585225209347752009-12-08T20:23:58.982-08:002009-12-08T20:23:58.982-08:00I loved both these novels, too! I think the thing I didn't like about PMP was the heroine's really baseless prejudice against JD just because he's rich - she automatically assumes that Daddy Moneybags influences his career, etc, and I just didn't buy it after eight years.

I didn't feel the lack of explanation for the battle in NQAH. I didn't think it was relevant to the story at hand and a deeper examination might have

a) bogged down the storyline or

b) threatened to be anachronistic with the hero/heroine having modern attitudes in an effort to keep readers from feeling alienated.AnimeJunehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18229748454410488167noreply@blogger.com
